Leatherwork Shops and Galleries on the Crafts Trail

Cabin in the Arts and Crafts Community

Secluded, Wooded Setting

Ridgecrest Cabin Rentals is fortunate to have a few log cabins right smack dab in the Smoky Mountain crafts community and to be surrounded by such talent and skill as seen in several leather shops on the crafts trail.  You’ll find Native American inspired clothing, hats, belts and a variety of leather goods handmade right in several Gatlinburg leather shops and even see craftsmen demonstrating leatherworking.  Here are six shops and galleries located with a few miles of our secluded cabin called Chipmunk Haven:

Country Cobbler
A member of the Academy of Western Artists and Working Ranch Cowboy Association, The Country Cobbler knows leather!  Creating both artistic and functional leatherworks, choose from classic chaps, belts, handbags of fine, top grain cowhide, Bible covers, gun holsters, and more.  All leathers used are hand selected to ensure the highest quality products obtainable and leather dyes are created in studio.  Stop in to see Doug and Becky at work at 170 Glades Rd. Suite # 15.  If you can’t visit in person, the Country Cobbler offers free shipping within the continental US for all online orders.

Gatlin County Leather & Gallery
Marsha A. Fountain specializes in handmade, Native American inspired clothing made from deer and elk hides, original Poppen moccasins, flutes, drums and beaded jewelry.  Located at 517 Glades Road.
